The silver hairpins of the minority people in Southwest China are in diverse styles and themes including dragon, phoenix, flower, bird, and butterfly. This silver hairpin with cloisonné and inlaid pearls is hollowed-out, matched with blossoms made of silver wires, and filled with red, yellow and green cloisonné. The pin is attached with tassels. The top and tassels are also inlaid with a red pearl. Such a decorative method is very rare, which sufficiently demonstrates traces of cultural integration between minorities in Southwest China and those living nearby.
